2022 Scholarship awards
Monday, May 23: 4 p.m. Cynthia & Katia flew to the Midwest from Florida to attend the Davenport Schools Foundation (DSF) reception to honor this year's DSF scholarship winners and their families. Scholarship awards, totaling $20,700, have been given out to 33 Caryl Haring scholars from 2013-2022. This year's Caryl Haring scholarship awards went to: Riley Erwin, Brynn Hetzler, Jordan Snarr & Madison Wardlow. These annual awards go to graduating seniors who want to be teachers so they can make a difference in the lives of children, just as Caryl did during her 40 years of teaching.

Saturday, August 6: 1:45 p.m. The Sue Sue Sisters perform their "Summer Songs 2022" at Regency Residence with classics like “White Sandy Beach,” “Here Comes the Sun,” “You Are My Sunshine,” “Roll Out Those Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer,” and “Summer Song,” made famous by Chad & Jeremy in the 60s, as well as an Elvis tribute with “That’s Alright Mama,” and “Blue Suede Shoes" and a song in Spanish, “Cachito,” popularized by Nat King Cole.

Thursday, October 20: 2 p.m. The Sue Sue Sisters perform "Songs of the 50s/60s/70s" at Salishan in Brooksville with classics like "White Sandy Beach," "That's Alright Mama," "You Are My Sunshine," "Que Sera Sera," "Daydream Believer," "I Go Out Walking After Midnight," "Calendar Girl," and two Beatles songs, "Eight Days a Week and "Can't Buy Me Love." They will also do a Halloween segment. The public is welcome to attend this fun event!
 
Saturday, October 29: 1:30 p.m. The World Nation music group will perform their annual Halloween Show at Regency Residence in Port Richey, FL. Songs include the "Addams Family" theme song, "One Eyed, One Horn, Flying Purple People Eater," "Lil Red Riding Hood," "Monster Mash," and "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf." They will also present a Hippie Segment during the event with songs such as Chad & Jeremy's "Summer Song;" Janis Joplin's "Mercedez Benz;" a Simon & Garfunkel favorite, "Feeling Groovy;" and two Peter, Paul & Mary classics, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone" and "If I Had a Hammer."

Saturday, December 10: 1:30 p.m. World Nation will present their annual Christmas Show at Regency Residence in Port Richey with very special guests, the "Little Sue Sues" including Ashley, Anairis, Rosebella, Magnolia, and Aurora. They will perform traditional Christmas songs like "The First Noel," "O Come Emmanuel," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Angels We Have Heard on High," and a Hanukkah song, "Nes Gadol Haya Sham." as well as seasonal favorites like "Rudolph," "Jingle Bells," "Feliz Navidad," "Here Comes Santa Claus," "The Grinch," "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," and more. Come and sing or dance, as the spirit moves you!

Saturday, May 1:  2 p.m. Join the Sue Sue Sisters & World Nation singers for a special “Cinco de Mayo” performance at Regency Residence in New Port Richey. Classic songs like "La Bamba," "Cielito Lindo," and "De Colores" in Spanish, as well as popular dances like “The Chicken Dance,” “Macarena,” and “The Mexican Hat Dance.” Come and shake a tail feather & have a good time!

Tuesday, June 1: 6 p.m. At the Davenport School Board meeting, the 2020 Caryl Haring Memorial Scholarship Awards were announced. This year's Caryl Haring scholars include: Caitlyn Devol (West High), Sophia Heller (North High), and Lexis Skiles (Central High). These memorial scholarship awards go to graduating seniors who want to be teachers so they can make a difference in children's lives, just as Caryl did during her 40 years of teaching.

Saturday, March 7: 2 p.m. In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, the World Nation music group with special guests performs at Regency Residence. We will perform some Irish songs and dances. Come & join the fun!

Sunday, April 8, 2018: 1 p.m. Cynthia Haring & Katia Valdeos of World Nation host a doo wop, pop, rock, & swing fundraiser at Spring Hill United Church of Christ, 4244 Mariner Blvd. All funds raised at this concert go toward church misson programs such as bookbag ministry, literature books for low income children, blessing bags for youth and families living in the woods, and the Dawn Center, which provides support to abused women and children. Wednesday-Sunday, October 4-7, 2018: Cynthia and Katia will participate in a Parker World Nation Reunion during the 2018 Indian Days celebration of the Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) reservation in Parker, AZ. It has been 23 years since the release of Parker World Nation’s, “Songs of the Colorado River” recording. This year there will be a luncheon for all Parker World Nation singers and their families, as well as a music performance on the four corners stage the evening of October 6. Special event honoring the tribes and the Parker World Nation music community.

Sunday, May 24: Gathering of family and friends to honor Earl William Haring in Preston, Iowa with a 10 a.m. service at the Methodist Church followed by Committal of Ashes at the cemetery and noon lunch at Some Budde's Cafe in downtown Preston.

Tampa Bay World Nation singers dedicated their April 11 concert at Regency Residence to Earl William Haring, 87, their most senior group member who recently passed away. The boys wore bow ties in honor of Earl, who wore bow ties when he sang "I Don't Know Why (I Just Do)" with the group.

Monday, May 23: 4 p.m. Cynthia & Katia flew to the Midwest from Florida to attend the Davenport Schools Foundation (DSF) reception to honor this year's DSF scholarship winners and their families. Scholarship awards, totaling $20,700, have been given out to 33 Caryl Haring scholars from 2013-2022. This year's Caryl Haring scholarship awards went to: Riley Erwin, Brynn Hetzler, Jordan Snarr & Madison Wardlow.  These annual awards go to graduating seniors who want to be teachers so they can make a difference in the lives of children, just as Caryl did during her 40 years of teaching.
